Within the Harry potter series
there are a lot of moral issues that are discussed throughout the 7 books. In
the early stages of the series we see young harry, when he is first told that
he is the boy who lived, you can definitely see this immature reaction. Because
harry doesn’t understand how big of a deal it is and doesn’t completely know
who voldemort was at the time. Transitioning into the 2nd and third
novels we see harry starting to change into a teenager. Becoming angrier with
his aunt and uncle and realizing he can do better than what he is given.
With the fourth, fifth, and sixth
book the reader see’s this darker stage that harry goes through as he ages
because the weight of being the boy who lived and having to face Voldemort is
weighing on him. Harry is constantly battling, if she should give up and live
his life or if he needs to finish what he started. Overall the 7 books give a
very interesting perspective in watching a boy grow up.
This past week I re read the first
harry potter book and it was fun to see the differences between the movie and the
book. I compared the movie to the book to see what they left out. The movie completely
disregarded the relationship harry formed with headless nick and the Halloween party
he went to with him. But overall the movie followed the book pretty well!!
